Ladyfest is 10 – Get involved in the Birthday Bash!

Who’d have thought that it’s nearly 10 whole years since the first ever Ladyfest was held in Olympia, Washington?! Since then, the word of Ladyfest has spread, inspiring women around the world to realise their resources and put on a show. To celebrate this milestone, UK feminists (including organisers from Ladyfest London 2008) have set up LadyfestTen. But, like all Ladyfests, the more ladies that are involved the bigger and better it gets…which is why LadyfestTen are inviting YOU to get stuck in!

“We want to celebrate Ten years of this global DIY movement by running an event which brings together activists from all corners of the world.

We are London based but will carry out meetings in a variety of different formats (e.g. online); so everyone who wants to participate will be able to, no matter where they are.

Ladyfest is run by volunteers and we need YOU to get involved in the anniversary party! If you are into art, music, activism, crafts, poltiks, making friends, learning new skills, and making things better – this is for you.”

The next meeting is on Monday 16th November, 18.30 to 21.30 in the Royal Festival Hall (Level 2 Foyer), Southbank Centre, London. If you can’t make it to the meeting, don’t worry because there are plenty of ways to keep up with LadyfestTenners!
